Are you looking for a big, shaggy, loveable, cheerful new family member?

Bert has been with us for a little while, we don’t know why no one has jumped to take this lovely boy! He’s recently moved from National Park to a foster home in the Wairarapa, and we can now confidently say this boy is great with other dogs, chooks, goats, cats and kittens.
He has tamed the rescued wild kitten who would only come out initially if Bert was there.
His new foster has chickens and chicks free ranging on the lawn and he hasn’t shown any interest.
He’s living with another beardie who is a great friend, and two older spaniels who tolerate him.
The goats are perplexing to him as they don’t want to be worked like sheep…but he has been fine around them.

To the right home, Bert may work, although he has not had any formal training. But he would probably just love to be a family member, he needs an active home and would love another dog to play with.

Bert will go to his new home vaccinated, castrated, microchipped. Adoption fees apply. We think he is about 4 years old.

We would love to find Bert a family home, preferably in the country, but at least a family who will exercise him daily.
Bert needs good high fencing as he has proven to be a very competent jumper!!
