A bit about Delta’s personality:

Delta is a soft-natured lovely girl.
The reason for rehoming is I moved to the UK 2 years ago and my friends who have generously looked after her can no longer due to some big changes in their circumstances. They would love to have been able to keep her but due to no fault of her own, she is now needing a new home. Unfortunately I am also still stuck overseas without a timeframe of coming home. I have tried close family and friends but have had no luck so it is with a very heavy heart I am writing this post.

She came through work as a 6 month old rescue who didn’t take to the working life and happily took to the pet life. She is just as happy cruising at home as she is going for a hike in the ranges (she was kiwi aversion trained but has no lapsed) or fetching sticks in the river or ocean. She is great to run or walk with off leash and she just sits at your heel or just in front with a great recall.
She is not one to wander once she gets familiar to a spot and prefers to hang around where the people are.

She is good with other dogs once she gets to know them. She can be shy at first but becomes best friends/obessive afterwards.
She is great with children, especially those who are slightly older (5-7years +) and have dog-sense. She has never snapped or bitten but has had a growl with pokey, proddy toddlers.

She does have a few quirks;
1. Can tend to dig in the garden if left for long periods unsupervised but is also happy to sit in a kennel and race without fuss
2. She will happily jump into a car but can ‘dig’/ get slightly anxious once the car gets moving. She doesn’t whine or whimper and it doesn’t affect her jumping into the car at first. She does well in a travel crate in the back.

She would thrive in an environment with an active family and bit of space to chase a stick or ball.
