Gay is a medium-sized, female heading-dog, aged 10 years old.Description:
Fit, active and healthy but also loves to sleep.
Gentle, quiet, loyal.
Loves to work but has been on lifestyle block the last year with not much work to do, has become a loved pet. But still loves to work sheep and cattle, and still good at it.
Good with children, farm animals & birds, and other dogs.
Used to being tied up but recently we haven’t bothered as never wanders and just stays where she is meant to be. So now sleeps either in her kennel, or in the wash house (where there has been no toilet mess).
Great companion and easy to walk as stays with you, never wanders off.
Can have a bit of selective hearing (or mild hearing loss), but obeys straight away, except for the occasional time when needs to be told 2-3 times, but then she obeys.
Owner shifted away a month ago, and Gay quickly bonded with temporary caregiver, but requires a new home, a good home, urgently asap, preferably by the end of the week.
Is Gay used to children? Yes.
Is Gay used to cats? Yes.
Is Gay toilet-trained? Don’t know.
Is Gay used to stock? Yes.
Is Gay used to chickens? Yes.
How well does Gay get on with other dogs? Great.
Gay lives in Masterton, North Island.
A bit about Gay’s personality:
Gentle, quiet, no bother, does what she’s told, stays where she is meant to be.
A very easy loyal dog.
Happy to be on her own but also loves any attention.
