Hector is a medium-sized, male, Border Collie X puppy, aged 5 months.Description:
Border Collie x Blue Heeler puppy. Due to an an unfortunate change in circumstances I now need to move from where I am living and won’t be able to provide Hector with the life he needs.
He is a much loved family companion who is very well trained for his age and has been socialised well with other dogs, people and kids.
He is more of a family dog who loves to be inside with people although I believe he could be trained up to be a working dog as he still does show herding tendencies when he plays.
I want to make sure he goes to the best home where he will have space to run around outside of walks as well as a lot of love.Is Hector used to children? Yes.
Is Hector used to cats? Yes.
Is Hector toilet-trained? Yes.
Is Hector used to stock? Don’t know.
Is Hector used to chickens? No.
How well does Hector get on with other dogs? Great.
Hector lives in Christchurch, South Island.
A bit about Hector’s personality:
Hector is very intelligent and doing so well for his age. He is doing so well in his training, responds well to commands and is exceeding all of my expectations so far.
He has been crate trained at night time and can stay in there for 8 hours with no issues of him crying or going toilet in his crate.
He is obviously still a very young puppy so does still have a lot of energy and his moments of being too distracted to listen but overall is very well behaved.
He loves people and other dogs. I have taken him out quite a few times now to various dog parks and I have never had any issues with him with other dogs or him not responding to his name.
He does extremely well with kids provided they have some experience with dogs and are calm around him to begin with.
He shows no signs of aggression to any people or animal’s although can get protective over certain toys (treat toys mostly).
He used to become slightly food aggressive but this has now calmed down a lot and he is now very used to me giving him pats etc. while eating.
He can be super cuddly when he chooses to be but is always up for attention when you try and give it to him.
He is so loving and will make the most amazing companion.
