***RWD Foster Dog***

Hi, my name is Jimmy, I’m around 8-10 months old and I’m a mixed breed (was intended to be a hunting dog but never got there). I’ve been vaccinated up to date and micro-chipped. The vets have said to wait until I am a bit older before I get castrated (phew!) because I’m going to be quite a big boy, so anyone who adopts me needs to agree to have this done later on.

I’m such a good boy, great at listening, great with children, rats, birds, dogs, food, walking on and off the lead, so many good qualities! I haven’t met cats or stock in my foster home, so will need to be introduced to those.

I am a little scared to get in the car and sometimes walking over a bridge. I’m mostly calm, I just get a bit excited when it’s time to go for a walk or when my family come home. My foster family would love me to go to a home with another dog (playing is my favourite thing EVER!). My foster family and I would also love me to be an inside dog (I love my crate).

I’d love a home with at least once daily walks because I’m young and when I get bored I may or may not dig a hole or two…! It would be great to find a home where my new people went on adventures in the weekends, and awesome if I had some older kids to play with and teach me new things.

I have so much love to give and so much personality, you’ll love me when you meet me. PS I’m house trained.

As with all of our foster dogs, Jimmy will have an adoption fee and we will require a property inspection and vet references before adoption is finalised. For more information, please email adoptions@retiredworkingdogs.org.nz
