A bit about Kez’s personality:
KEZ- 9 Month Huntaway located in the Napier HAWKES BAY but willing to travel for the right home!
Kez is looking for a new home. Unfortunately things haven’t quite worked out where he is.
A friend of mine has had him for 2 months but she has since had her second child and has found she doesn’t have the time to take him for walks etc and give him the attention he needs anymore so Kez is looking for a new family to love him.
Kez is a loving boy, he absolutely loves people and will smother you with love and attention but he needs that in return from you! He needs to be kept active daily as when he gets bored he can be a bit naughty and chew things.
The family he is currently living with have an 18 month old and they play together like brother and sister so he is good with small children. They also have a cat so he is used to living with a cat now. He is good with other dogs, they have a German Shepherd and when he was with me was in a pack of 8 dogs so has no problems with other dogs.
Why he isn’t a farm dog is because Kez has Hip Dysplasia currently it doesn’t affect him and it may not affect him for years but he wouldn’t be able to run around the hills etc so this is why I haven’t kept him. He does need to be given good quality food or he will experience problems with his hips sooner rather than later.
You will need to have a large section as Kez is only 9 months but is already 35+ kgs and we think he will be over 40kg fully grown so will need plenty of space!
Kez is learning to walk on a lead but is good off lead, he has very good recall and knows basic commands sit etc. He is more interested in other people than dogs when out for a walk, he is definitely a people dog and will be very loyal and loving with his new family.
