About Muff:

Muff is a large, female, Huntaway puppy, aged 11 months.

Description:

Hi, I’m Muff. I’m a large, very beautiful, 11-month-old huntaway pup, living on a farm in Waipawa.

I’ve lived here since I was a wee girl.

I’m one of a team of nine working dogs.

And I sure love wrestling with them. They’re ALL my good mates!

I’m not a cocky type either. I just slot in with the crew.

I AM the odd one out though.

You see, THEY all get excited to head off to work in the morning and I DON’T!

So, with work not being my thing and all, my farmer’s hoping to find me a loving new home – as a PET.

I’d do well on a lifestyle block but I could live in an active town home too.

I’m just about the easiest girl to have round the place.

My farmer says I’m really “pretty chilled and a placid girl” for my young age.

BUT, being a working breed, I’ll still need a good hour’s walk EVERY day.

I need to stretch my big long legs, you see.

Fortunately, I’m great on leash and I LOVE other doggies, so I’m a fun girl to explore with!

I could live as a solo doggy or happily share my home with others too.

I’m just a good girl, really. I’ll happily find hobbies to keep myself occupied when you’re busy.

I absolutely LOVE collecting sticks and chewing them. It’s SO fun!

I haven’t met cats as yet but my farmer thinks I’ll probably be fine with them.

If I were to share a house with one, I’d just need a little training first.

Fortunately though, I’m GREAT with my feathered friends – even when they’re free ranging!

Chooks come in and out of my kennel all the time and I don’t bat an eyelid!

I’m very much a social butterfly with people too!

When strangers visit my farm, I always greet them with a waggy tail.

I haven’t met many kids yet, but being a BIG girl, my farmer thinks I’d be best not living with tiny humans.

She worries I might knock them over!

Oh, I must let you know right now… my favourite thing in my day is food!

Yip, I’m VERY food motivated. I’ll roll over backwards for it!

The good news is, you can train me, with food, to do pretty much anything!

Some yummy treats and, of course, you’ll have me eating out of the palm of your hand!

Oh, I must also let you know that I’m not spayed.

So, if you’re looking for a beautiful-natured, goofy, playful stick collector – that’s ever so patient with chickens stealing her bed – I’d love to meet you.
