Beautiful Pearl is finally ready for her forever family. This special girl has been in RWD care for months now, as a result of the career ending nerve damage to one of her front legs. With lots of TLC from the team (most importantly her wonderful foster mum who has dedicated so much time and love), Pearl is so excited to get out there and meet her people.

Pearl is a 22 month old heading dog, her injury will always be noticeable in a slight limp that comes and goes, and weaker muscles in her front leg, but she has improved so much since we first met her. Our vets are happy that she is comfortable, and this is not hurting her or holding her back.

Pearl has so much love to give! She loves other dogs and is good with every one she has met. She is fine with chickens, loves children, and although she hasn’t met any cats, she should learn quickly. A lifestyle block with another dog for company would be ideal for Pearl. She would also love to sleep inside as she has become very used to this style of living in foster!

While she is not receiving any treatment or medication for her leg anymore, there is an element of management needed to keep her comfortable. She is an active dog, so having a buddy to play with that will back off when she is tired is perfect. She is not suited to being a running or cycling companion, but will happily go for long walks at her own pace with you!

Her foster mum would be more than happy to show her potential new owners some of the basic physiotherapy that she has been receiving.

Pearl is speyed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with flea and worming treatments.
