About Pip:

Pip is a medium-sized, female Heading Dog, aged 9 years old.

Description:

Pip has been the mainstay heading dog on a larger station for her whole life. She loves her work and remains as keen as ever, but unfortunately her body isn’t keeping up with the hills and big country.

She’s had a trial as a house dog here on the farm, but she has serious FOMO and isn’t happy lounging on the deck while there’s work to be done! She”ll head off to the yard to see what’s happening, making her unsuitable to remain with us on the farm.

Her perfect home would be cat-free, with or without other dogs. A home where there is maybe a bit of work to be done on a small lifestyle block, or where she has no choice but to adjust to not working. She is relaxed around children and adults. Her manners are great – Pip always takes her food politely from the hand or bowl.

She’s been a very special member of the team and it will be tough to not have her around anymore.

A bit about Pip’s personality:

Pip is incredibly loyal and hardworking. She still wants to work, and will continue to give her all on any given day. Pip is very friendly, although isn’t overly playful toward other dogs. She certainly is more likely to ignore them than engage with them.

Pip is always the first to race over for a pat in the morning, and enjoys being a part of the action. She’s a smooch and loves a cuddle. In recent years, she’s loved having a winter jacket on at night and a brush when her coat comes through. Really, she just loves being fussed over.
