Rebel is a medium-sized, female border-collie-heading-dog, aged 2 years old.
Rebel is a speyed two year old female heading dog (not trained but is smart and keen to learn). She is lovely natured (even a little submissive usually, with people at least), used to cats, chickens (tries to round them up) and other dogs. She is ok with other dogs as long as they don’t overpower or crowd her. The only problem we have is that our almost 11 year old female Jack Russell has disagreements with her (in particular over food) and Rebel can get very domineering when food is involved. Apart from that she is used to my children and the cats. I feel like she is a bit frustrated as she is a working dog. Although we have a large section, I feel she needs more exercise then I have time to give her, especially with full time work. She would make a lovely pet for a lifestyle block and is a good guard dog. She will let you know if someone is creeping round where they shouldn’t be.Is Rebel used to children? Yes.
Is Rebel used to cats? Yes.
Is Rebel toilet-trained? Yes.
Is Rebel used to stock? Don’t know.
Is Rebel used to chickens? Yes.
How well does Rebel get on with other dogs? OK.
Rebel lives in Feilding, North Island.
A bit about Rebel’s personality:
As I said above she is submissive but will growl if a dog tries to intimidate her. She is possessive of her food so feeding her alone is probably best, but is used to other dogs and not aggressive to people.
