About Rome:

Rome is a medium-sized, male heading, aged 1 years old.

Description:

Rome is a people pleasing kind dog, he likes to come for horse rides and runs. He LOVES attention. He gets along with all the dogs (10), when he first came to us he was a bit timid around them but now is starting to try play, he has never tried to stand up to them. He is not for sale as a working dog as on two occasions with my partner when my partner wasn’t watching he chased a old skinny ewe into the gully and killed it. I have since on multiple occasions had him going through sheep paddocks, directly past sheep and chasing sheep and he has never showed any sign of aggression. Rome and another heading dog have both rounded up sheep in the paddock next to the house whilst unattended and he never once bit them. He hasn’t shown any aggression towards any other animal even cows and lambs we raise. He sits on command, comes back as soon as you ask and ‘stands’ (stops) when running when asked. I have two weeks to find this dog a suitable home, he would make someone a really nice companion who loves to go for runs and horse rides. Rome is the sweetest dog and I would keep him for myself if I was allowed. I haven’t had him around chickens as we don’t have any but he ignores our cat and other small animals. He is wormed regularly and has been vaccinated.
