Meet Lucy! This affectionate girl is a people person, thriving on attention and cuddles from her foster family, especially women and children. Lucy gets along great with other dogs, but isn’t afraid to stand up for herself if needed.

While she hasn’t shown interest in chooks, Lucy has a strong herding instinct and may chase cats, stock, or horses if given the chance. However, with the right training and care, she could make a wonderful pet for an active family or individual.

Lucy loves being indoors and snuggling up on the couch or in your lap, but still needs work on overnight toilet training. She’s happy to sleep in her cozy kennel and wears a jacket at night without issues. Short periods in her kennel during the day are also fine, as long as she has a chew toy to keep her occupied.

Lucy doesn’t like being tied up and will find ways to squeeze through fences to be with her people. However, she’s generally good at staying around home. With her strong herding instinct and high energy levels, Lucy would thrive in a pet home away from stock or on a small block with an owner willing to train and stock-proof her. She’s never been a working dog, but her instincts are clear, and she needs an owner who can channel her energy and abilities.

If you’re looking for a loving and loyal companion who’ll bring joy and affection into your life, Lucy’s the perfect fit!

Lucy will be desexed. She is vaccinated, flead, wormed and microchipped. As with all our foster dogs there will be a $350 adoption fee and a property check and vet reference will take place.
