Adopter detailsHi, I'd like to adopt a retired working dog.
About meMy name is Diana Harker. You can reach me on: +6434453211 or email at zn.oc.godyzal@ofni. I live in Cromwell RD 3 in our own property. I can walk/exercise a dog and I already have 2 other dogs. The dog would not be left alone. The dog is likely to be left alone for 0 hours per day.
EnvironmentThere are no children at the property. At our property, we have 1 cats, 0 chooks, 0 rabbits and 25 sheep.
Details of other animals:
We live on a vineyard with restaurant and our large Huntaway Mac meets with Japanese guests several days in a week
We are interested in adopting the following dogs:
Huntaway, Huntaway cross Heading
A few words about our property:
Our business model is dedicated to retired working dogs. We (LazyDog) is about the change in Central Otago from sheep farm to include the wine farm, it is our story.
Our dogs get a lot of attention and care.
We live on a vineyard with restaurant and our large Huntaway Mac meets with Japanese guests several days in a week.
We have 6.2 hectares fully fenced, vineyard, olives, nuts and sheep. We have a fenced area (private) at back of restaurant where dogs reside during the day if we are tied up with guests. We can see the dogs from our kitchen window and guests can see them over a farm gate from the car park.
Here is why I think we can provide a good home:
We have at least 4-6 hours a day outside in the vineyard (all year round) with our dogs and one of them works with our small group of sheep, moving them, managing them for drenching, shearing etc and bringing them down to guests to hand feed etc.
We have cared for three Huntaway dogs over the last 13 years without incident....just old age catching up on our remaining two.
We are a married couple with teenage son joining us in the business this year. We are all dog people.
