Breeds accepted for foster or advertising

RWD is committed to retired working farm and hunting breeds only. The majority of breeds are heading dogs, huntaways, or handy dogs (huntaway x heading dogs). Occasionally hunting breeds are submitted for adoption, usually retired or ‘failed’ pig dogs. These can get a little hazy as they are often crossbreds, e.g greyhound x, however the owner needs to specify that the dog was intended or used for hunting.

Working breeds crossed with ‘pet’ breeds (e.g huntaway x labrador) are generally NOT accepted for advertising or foster.
