•••RWDNZ FOSTER DOG•••Rosie, a 5-year-old huntaway cross, is a sweet and affectionate girl who loves cuddles and attention. Shes well-behaved, crate-trained, and walks beautifully on a lead. Rosie adores other dogs and kids, loves to play and socialise, and can live with cats (though shes a bit scared). Due to past trauma, shes wary of males, so a female-only home or someone willing to work with her is preferred. With patience and love, Rosie will thrive as a loyal companion. Shes a lovely, easy-going girl who just needs a chance to shine.Find out more:https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/rosie-feilding-rwdnz-foster-dog/Apply here:https://form.jotform.com/adoptionsrwd/ADOPTIONAPP

Spot is a Blue Heeler Heading Dog X who is very energetic and keen to work but hasn’t had enough training. He knows his name and has a good recall when there’s food involved. Spot would do well with someone experienced with dogs and has the time to put into his training. He would make a good companion dog as he is a very happy, friendly dog. Spot is located in Featherston.✅used to children❓used to cats❓toilet-trained❓used to stock❌used to chickens✅gets on with other dogsContact Spots owner for more information https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/spot-featherston/

Jax is a 2 year old heading dog who was intended to be a working dog but circumstances have prevented him from having much of an opportunity to start his training. Hes super keen and full of energy ( still acts like a puppy. 😘) He could possibly go to a working home if you want to put the time into his training, otherwise hed suit an active pet lifestyle. Gorgeous Gus is looking for a cruisy retirement home. He has been a working dog all his life and his owners have tried to retire him on the farm with a little bit of yard work to keep him happy, but he’s finding it hard to relax when all the other dogs are out working every day. The ideal home for Gus would be a small lifestyle block where he can help to move a small mob of sheep/cattle from one paddock to another. Gus is a very gentle kind old soul. He always comes up to rest his head on the table for a pat (loves a good ear scratch) and follows you everywhere. 📌Django has a new home💓Django is a loveable, gentle giant. A 1 year old, entire male, longer coated Huntaway. He’s eager to please and incredibly loyal but too soft for work purposes. He would thrive in a rural home/ lifestyle block as a companion or family pet. He gets along well with other dogs and has great recall/ sit command. He is still very puppy like in his personality and a bit of a goofball, who can’t but make you smile. He has lived outdoors his whole life, so is not toilet trained. He has a whole lot of love to give and would make someone’s life a bit more complete.Contact his owner via the link below:https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/django-kurow/

Johnny is a gorgeous boy with long legs and a big heart. 1 year old. Currently with the Whakatane SPCA team who think he may be a lurcher/collie mix but this is just their best guess. He is friendly and smart and will make a great companion for someone with an active lifestyle. He is playful with other dogs and may be useful for working stock as he likes to try and herd the volunteers when they walk him.Alternatively Johnny would love any other job if it meant getting out and about doing something.Contact Gemma via the link below:https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/johnny-whakatane/
