About Chase:
Chase is a medium-sized, male Border Collie, aged 5 years old.
Description:Chase is a 5 year old border collie looking for his next best friend. He’s desexed, nzkc registered & DNA tested. He has only ever been on farms so will not being going to someone that lives in town. He’s 50/50 with other dogs, gets fear aggressive! Will lunge at end of lead when not under control so must go to someone that has experience with collies & reactive dogs! He’s done 2k in behaviour training & has got to a normal stage but still has his days. Not sure what he’s like with kids or cats. I have a baby & would not trust him with her as he has his days still! So he’s being re-homed. He’s good with my 3 other collies. He’s good around stock but not trained as working dog! Grown up as a pet. Also Chase isn’t great with strangers 50/50 if he’s gonna growl when we are out walking but generally is good on own property with strangers unless they sneak up on him or look him in the eyes! Located Blenheim. Would need to go on a 2 week trial to see his true behaviour as he’s a very sweet boy but just has his days. Can sit, lay down, spin, weave between legs (haven’t in awhile though), stay, touch, shake, lift leg, watch, ready (turn and leave in a hurry when growling/reacting) & has an awesome recall when you say ‘come’ off lead. He needs to be kept busy and loves learning!
