About Paua:

Paua is a medium-sized, male Border Collie, aged 2 years old.

Description:

Paua has been my beloved pet since he was 5 months, he is full of beans, loves a good run and splash in any water he can find. He’s very smart and can learn anything in a couple of goes. Very good with kids and humans.

Unfortunately, he has become incredibly reactive which I believe stems from overstimulation (being a BC and coming from a working line). Sadly I don’t have any work for this poor baby, although I have trained him to do many things around the house it’s just not enough for him.

He has been attacked a few times by people not having control of their dogs and has become selectively dog reactive. However, he goes wonderful in a pack situation with dogs he knows and trusts.

This is a very hard decision for me but after many many months of training and trying every option possible to help his reactivity, I can no longer commit to the time and money, as I have other dogs and a child. and he’s taking away from them.

I would prefer he goes to a home with other dogs in a working environment. However, he could be great as a single pet also with the right owner. I am in no rush to let him go and will need a vet reference, character reference and home pictures.

He’s fully vaxed plus kennel cough, desexed, and microchipped.
