About Crackle:

Crackle is a medium-sized, female, Heading Dog X Smithfield puppy, aged 9 months.

Description:

Crackle is a firecracker! She is bursting with energy!

We adopted Crackle at 4 months old after she’d spent her early months cooped up in an urban backyard.

She took a few weeks to settle into multiple dogs (8 total) but she’s friendly with them now.

She LOVES fetch – sticks, balls you name it. She can bounce bloody high too!

She is very wary of strange things and the unknown so she can growl at new people to begin with. She’s alerted us overnight to something unusual which was great.

She must’ve chased cars going past her fence in her early days. We live on a farm on the main road and she used to chase them along the road front if we were in the paddock but she has gotten heaps better. But it’s something to take into consideration.

She’d make a GREAT cattle dog but she might be a bit soft to be a full time working dog unless you’re a gentle owner – she’d need a firm but gentle hand.

Crackle is super sweet and would be very loyal with time. We have too many to put the effort into her to be working, and she is wasted here as she is such a sweetheart.

We have a 3 year old and Crackle is fine with her BUT Crackle gets a bit too excited sometimes and we worry something might accidentally happen if Crackle thinks our daughter is playing (but she isn’t) so best she is rehomed with older kids.
