About Toby:
Toby is a large, male Bearded Collie X, aged 3 years old.
Description:Toby is a Bearded collie huntaway cross. He has had four months of training after coming from a life chained situation. He is very high energy and loves to run and work. He has basic commands but is still a work in progress. I have been working him with cows and young stock on a dairy farm for the past four months. He has really learned a lot and is a huge help when moving stock. The hardest thing is trying to keep his brakes on so he really needs more work so would suit a beef/dry stock farm. He is great with kids and all animals. Will chase wild rabbits/hares but will come back if called. He has great recall. He needs to go to a farm where he will get plenty of excersize and further his training.
Is Toby used to children? Yes.Is Toby used to cats? Yes.
Is Toby toilet-trained? Yes.
Is Toby used to stock? Yes.
Is Toby used to chickens? No.
How well does Toby get on with other dogs? Great.
Toby lives in Hamilton, .
A bit about Toby’s personality:
Toby is very social and affectionate. He loves to run more than anything and is happy around people and all of the animals he has met so far. Cats, dogs, horses, ducks and cattle. He has high energy so does need to be kept busy or can get a bit whiny/barky. He has had a hard start to life but is loving every minute of being a working dog.
