About Fern:
Fern is a medium-sized, female, Huntaway X puppy, aged 10 months.
Description:Fern is a sweet and gentle dog who came to us via this group. We are really after a porch pooch and Fern is very high energy and not a good fit here. She is showing keen interest and some natural instincts with sheep so I think she could easily have a working career in her future. She does not have much of a bark, seems to have more of a natural heading dog way of going.
She’d also make a great agility dog, my daughter has done some obstacles and jumps with her and Fern loves it.
We have had her spayed and microchipped, and she’s up to date with vaccinations and worming.
Is Fern used to cats? Yes.
Is Fern toilet-trained? Yes.
Is Fern used to stock? Yes.
Is Fern used to chickens? Yes.
How well does Fern get on with other dogs? Great.
Fern lives in Waipawa, .
A bit about Fern’s personality:
Fern was quite timid when she came to us but being an “only dog” here she has really gained in confidence. She has good recall, and is quick to learn.
She’s a busy, high energy dog and needs a well fenced property if she’s being left unsupervised.
