About Ash:

Ash is a medium-sized, male Heading Dog, 3 years old.

Description:

Ash is about 23kg and I adopted him just over a year ago as a rescue. He had previously fractured his back right femur on a farm, and was meant for euthanasia before a vet nurse took him on and got Ash operated on. Since I’ve had him, there has been no issues, and jumps a lot as if he never broke a bone in the first place!

Is Ash used to children? Yes.
Is Ash used to cats? Don’t know.
Is Ash toilet-trained? Yes.
Is Ash used to stock? Don’t know.
Is Ash used to chickens? Yes.
How well does Ash get on with other dogs? Great.
Ash lives in Christchurch.
A bit about Ash’s personality:

Ash is energetic, playful and loyal. He’s so loyal that he will go wherever I go, keeping an eye on me and even forcing himself to stay awake. He is house trained, finding comfort and security in his crate, and is used to living with another dog. Ash was a rescue off a farm, so he loves exercise, tasks, and scavenging around the land. He has great recall, and with hand gestures knows sit, lie down, roll over, spin, back, wait, shake, leave, come, go, and can even find/identify ball, stick, and pinecone. He is a bouncy dog on walks, and is happy to run alongside a bike, car, and even as a running companion. Ash loves being in the car, and will yelp with excitement whatever the destination. When he isn’t burning energy, he is a very cute and soft natured dog, always seeking a pat, resting his head on the lap or hand, and falling at the feet for belly rubs.
