About Lady:
Lady is a medium-sized, female Greyhound Cross, aged 10 years old.
Description:Elderly Lady looking for a quiet retirement home! Lady is a beautiful white Greyhound cross that was once a pig hunting dog. In her old age she loves sleeping most of the day, eating, and car rides and the occasional walk. She is a quiet old lady who is good with cats, chickens, stock, and other dogs, and is toilet trained. She doesn’t love kids due to her love of peace and quiet – we have 3 and she prefers to watch them, unless they are willing to pat then she will tolerate them! She is microchipped, de-fleaed and wormed. She is not desexed.
Health-wise, she has lumps and bumps which I am told is scarring from her pig hunting days. She has a lump on her chest which doesn’t seem to bother her at all, she has the occasional cough, for which I give her half a tablet of prednisone as required rather than keeping her on them permanently. The vet couldn’t determine a cause for the cough, could be fur, or pollen – does not cough everyday, it seems to come and go. She is an inside dog, although likes to get up early and go outside then come back to bed for most of the day. Lady was given to us by a farming family who were retiring some dogs, but we have 3 young children and we think she would be much happier in a quieter home for her last year or so with someone who would love to give her treats and let her sleep inside on a comfy bed. She is the easiest dog you will ever meet. The ideal home for lady would be with a quiet adult family or with older children. Car rides, brushing, treats and she’s happy! If you are looking for an easy, quiet, friendly older dog, she could be the one for you.
