About Ash:
Ash is a medium-sized, female Huntaway X, aged 2 years old.
Description:Shy , loyal unspayed bitch
No intention of being a farm dog
Will happily ride on the bike
Gentle, happy personality.
Doesn’t wander, bark in the kennel, dig holes etc, just wants someone to love
Hasn’t been around small children but good with older kids especially if they have food.
Was very thin and timid when I got her. She was given to me as she was not showing much sign of making the grade as a working dog but was well bred apparently. I brought her up from Invercargill mainly because she looked like a huntaway my Dad had 45 years ago and I was hopeful she would grow into a handy type. But no… she proved to have a fear of sheep and cattle. She was terrified of everything and I have put so much time and effort into her . She is a pain on the farm as she will get out of the way by getting in the way.
She has no concept of what my farm dogs are doing.
She is incredibly loyal and lovely to have around but just useless and one of my working dogs picks on her
Food obsessed as she was not in good shape when i got her.
No training at all. Just let her run around and gain confidence.
