About Dot:
Dot is a medium-sized, female, Heading Dog puppy, aged 4 months.
Description:Dot was sadly born deaf, a result of the merle gene, which was not obvious in one parent.
She is a very smart heading pup and an incredibly fast learner (visual signals).
Dot is super confident and friendly.
At 14 weeks old, she has even started working sheep and is doing it beautifully.
She loves working sheep which is challenging given that she is deaf. She is a fast learner and could be taught visual cues for directional control.
Dot would make a fabulous agility dog and companion, if someone is willing to use visual cues rather than verbal.
Dot is very sweet natured, confident and tries hard to please.
Is Dot used to cats? Don’t know.
Is Dot toilet-trained? No.
Is Dot used to stock? Yes.
Is Dot used to chickens? Yes.
How well does Dot get on with other dogs? Great.
Dot lives in Oamaru, .
A bit about Dot’s personality:
Dot is a confident and happy pup. She is well adjusted with other dogs, living with a small team of working dogs, along with her litter mate. She also enjoys playing with our small foxy dog.
