A bit about Evee’s personality:

Evee is a gorgeous 10-month-old Heading Dog x Huntaway girl who is looking for someone willing to give her a chance to show just how much potential she has.
She has lovely manners, knows her basic commands including sit, wait, left and right, and has a great recall. She is a sweet, chilled-out cuddler who loves affection, although her greetings can be very enthusiastic and lengthy! She can also be a little nervous at times, so a patient and understanding home will be important for her.
Evee has always been an outside farm dog and was initially nervous about coming inside at the shelter, but she is now enjoying spending time indoors and discovering the comforts of being part of a home.
She is great with cats and has been described as good with children. She does, however, need to be the only dog in the home, as she is not comfortable around other dogs.
Evee’s previous farm work wasn’t quite the right fit. She would get the cattle settled and ready to come in, but then become overexcited and rush in, scattering them again. Her previous owner wasn’t able to work through this with her. While she may still have potential as a farm dog, this isn’t something we can guarantee, and she may be much better suited to life as a loving companion.
Evee has recently been spayed and is ready for the next chapter of her life.
She is an amazing, lovable young dog who deserves someone who can see past the things she hasn’t quite figured out yet and help her grow into the wonderful dog she has the potential to be.
Evee is not yet fully house-trained, so her foster/adoptive home will need to be prepared to continue working on this with her.
