Lovely wee Fern is very recently retired from work on the farm after a career ending injury, causing one of her backlegs to be amputated. But this has not at all stopped Fern! Since coming into our care, every human who has been a part of her journey has absolutely fallen in love. Fern is very very human oriented (strange men in dark coloured hoodies – definitely new best friends!!), gentle, and kind. She is confident and relaxed, and has been an absolute dream to care for in her post op recovery. She gets around very happily on three legs, but any new dog mates will need to be respectful of this body difference as she’s only a wee thing!

Fern is a bit too interested in cats, but totally respectful of chickens that are behind a fence (free ranging chooks would be risky with Fern). While she has been in post op recovery, she has not toileted indoors and has been clean in her crate, but her new owners will need to understand that being inside the house is very new! Fern is not yet spayed so she will go on a foster to adopt situation until we have got this done.

Adoption fee: $350 (includes spey, vaccination, microchip, flea/worm treatment, and registration). Vet reference and property inspection required.
