Grace is a 6 year old Collie/heading dog who is a wannabe working dog but not had the chance to be fully broken in. She weighs around 25kgs and is in great health.

A bit about Grace’s personality:

Grace is a lovely natured girl who has been on a small farm her whole life but never fully broken in. She does have some natural herding abilities. She likes hanging out with her human mum, cruising around on the back of the side by side, checking the stock and bopping around with her huntaway brothers. She gets along with all dogs she’s ever met. Has a very cruisy nature and needs a soft but firm hand. She has good recall which is something we have had to work on with her. Her ears didn’t turn on till she hit about 5 years old. If I was to compare Grace to a human it would have been the character Karen of mean girls played by Amanda Seyfried. She is a bit of a ditz but it makes her very loveable. She has not been around children however she has a gentle nature. Grace does like to chase small animals so I would not recommend her to be in a home with cats, rabbits or chickens. Grace was spayed this year and in that time she was crated inside the house. She loved her crate and prefered to be crated inside than out in her kennel. It would not take much to toilet train her. While she is fine around stock I would not leave her unattended around them as she definitely wants to work them. This is an incredibly difficult decision to make to find Grace a new home but it is also no rush to find that really special home for her. The reason for rehoming is she is one of 8 dogs on farm and deserves to be in a home where she is able to have more time with her special humans. She would make an amazing companion for some who wants a lovely wee dog to hang out with them, go places and be someones best mate. She needs someone who will give her all the attention.
