Lola is a medium-sized, female Huntaway X, aged 2 years old.

Description:

Lola is a sweet and clever, 20 month old Huntaway X, who is looking for her forever home – a calm and consistent environment, ideally rural/lifestyle.
From 12 weeks old she has loved life with her adoptive family, a vibrant household (two kids, 8 & 11) on a lifestyle property.
Lola is affectionate, energetic, playful and intelligent. She absolutely loves people – big and small. One pat is never enough!
She enjoys epic forest adventures with her mum almost daily; as well as tug of war, chasing frisbees with the kids.
She will join you for an evening of Netflix but goes happily in her crate at bedtime.
*House trained and crate trained
*Clever, eager to please and treat-driven (makes training much easier).
*Knows most commands but learning consistency with recall around distractions (dogs)
*Walks well with her halti on
*High energy = perfect for an active lifestyle
*Spayed, vaccinated, registered and chipped.
Lola can be a sensitive wee soul. She would thrive indoors in a quiet, calm, cat-free home and no other animals except perhaps a chilled adult dog to learn from. She has not been around chickens or stock but her herding instincts are very strong, so don’t recommend it (unless she has the appropriate training).
After a negative experience recently, Lola has lost confidence with new dogs, so is learning to build confidence again when out and about.  She would need an active owner who is experienced with working-dogs to continue the good training her mum is doing and to keep up her daily exercise.
It has been a very difficult decision to rehome Lola because we adore her, but the increasing stress of health needs in the family mean we no longer feel able to give Lola the attention and care she deserves.
