May is a happy, friendly heading dog who has put in the hard yards and is now looking for a more relaxed pace of life.
She’s always been a steady girl who’s happy to cruise along half a paddock behind, but when sent out, she can still find another gear! She’s calm and steady on sheep, making her well suited to a quieter lifestyle or small farm where she can still get out and do a bit of work without the pressure of keeping up with a full-on farming operation.
May has never been lame, and while she’s starting to slow down with the demands of the job, she still has plenty to offer in the right home. She can struggle with lambs, as they often genuinely think she’s one of them rather than a dog, and aren’t particularly worried about her! Even the older sheep can be inclined to see her as just another member of the flock, but once they work it out theres no issues.
May deserves a home where her experience, happy nature and steady approach can be appreciated, with a lighter workload and a bit more time to enjoy life.
