A bit about Meg’s personality:
Beautiful quirky Meg is looking for a cruisy retirement home as she’s done her dash with working now.
Meg is a talker and a smiler; she likes to grumble at you and show her teeth and will give her paw on command.
Meg can be a bit of a weirdo-she is very affectionate when she knows you and loves a good cuddle. She doesn’t like to be put in a corner and she will growl if she is in the back of her kennel and someone other than her boss is trying to make her come out. She has never taken it any further than a growl but it is something to be aware of.
Meg has been around small children but she isn’t a fan of their fast movements and loud voices. If she is uncomfortable she will take herself away. Meg would prefer a home with adults but should be ok with gentle, dog experienced children over the age of 12.
She’s very laid back with other dogs, has always lived in a big team and never been one to worry about who is the boss. She isn’t a fan of puppies and will make a point of avoiding them, but she is otherwise great.
Fine with stock, horses and free range chooks, curious about cats but knows not to touch them.
Last year Meg broke her left front leg just above her carpus (wrist) and spent months in a cast getting weekly changes. During this time she enjoyed the luxury of sleeping in the laundry and mooching round the house, and she is toilet trained. Her leg has healed pretty well and doesn’t trouble her, but she will likely have arthritis in future.
Meg is not speyed but she is up to date with vaccinations, flea and worm treatments. She is quite sensitive to fleas and needs to be treated regularly-a seresto collar has always been a good thing for her.
She is used to wearing a jacket in the winter and is partial to a comfy bed or a good spot in the sun.
Her ideal home would be a lifestyle block with another laid back dog to mooch around with, and a quiet life of spoiling. She’s a great mate and easy to have around.
