About Nugget:
Nugget is a medium-sized, male Heading Dog, aged 6 years old.
Description:Nugget is such a dude, a super loving three legged boy, which does not slow him down. He loves zooming as much as chilling out.
We got Nugget at about 9 months, after amputation of the leg, from farmers that didn’t want to put him down, but they also didn’t want a three legged working dog. I was a vet nurse at the time. He’s a keen eye dog but loses too much condition on our steep hill farm, as he has two speeds. Zooming and relaxing, so now weĀ just take him for the odd run as he enjoys hanging around the house.
Is Nugget used to children? Yes.
Is Nugget used to cats? Yes.
Is Nugget toilet-trained? Don’t know.
Is Nugget used to stock? Yes.
Is Nugget used to chickens? Yes.
How well does Nugget get on with other dogs? Great.
Nugget lives in Waipukurau, .
A bit about Nugget’s personality:
Nugget is a very affectionate boy. He his eager to please. He’ll shake your hand. Nugget is very responsive with commands. He loves playing with other dogs, water, chilling. He doesn’t jump gates/fences of course and doesn’t/can’t swim, but he does like been around water, beach etc. He does enjoy rounding up sheep, naturally, but he is also happy being around the house. As good as he is around cats and chickens, he would happily sit and watch them all day. He’s great with our toddler but does need reminding about personal space. He’s a happy boy and needs a home that has more time for him then we do now.
He would be best as a pet or working a small lifestyle block.
