Rah is fostered in Hastings.
Rah (nickname Yoda, those ears) is a loving, very gentle boy with impeccable manners who is looking for someone to build his confidence, as he is a little timid with new situations, this could be due to being moved about quite a lot in his short life.
He is young, very fast and agile so best suited to a rural home with room to run as much as he likes. He gets excited about going out for a run with the other dogs he is fostered with, this is the only time he is vocal, other than that is very quiet when inside.
He has started interacting more with the other dogs on the property, but it has taken a little time for him to feel comfortable and will only play if another dog initiates it. Doesn’t yet understand about toys or a game of fetch, but loves a cuddle and a fuss being made of him.
His recall is fantastic, has basic commands and never goes too far, and will constantly check back to make sure you are still there.
Rah has been given a trial on a farm and was not interest in working stock. The property he is being fostered on has sheep, goats and pigs with no problems, has also met horses and chickens, will look at them but that’s it. He is being fostered with a cat which he ignores, and a young puppy who he is very tolerant of.
He has freedom of the home and grounds in the day with standard farm fencing and gates with no problem, just sticks with the other dogs on the property.
Rah is house trained and sleeps inside at night.
He has not been around children while in foster, but probably best suited to older children as moves very fast and not keen on loud situation.
If you feel you can give this give this handsome young boy what he needs he would love to hear from you.
Rah has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated.
He has an adoption fee of $350 and, as with all of our foster dogs, we’ll require a vet reference and property inspection prior to adoption.
