About Ray:
Ray is a medium-sized, female Hunting – Pig Dog, aged 7 years old.
Description:Ray is a lovely natured brindle female (speyed) whippet cross, she is very quick on the uptake but has lacked the focus to be successful as a hunting dog. She hunts rabbits on her own initiative and has been a great companion for outdoor activities like hikes. She loves to go to the beach and river and makes an excellent guard dog. She is very social and friendly, ok with older children but not young children. Gets on very well with other dogs but chases smaller animals and things that move. Has been around chickens but wouldn’t recommend putting her with free ranging chooks (she has hunted escaped chickens and held them down rather than bite them but no guarantees). She has had regular vet care and has been very healthy with no issues other than occasional stomach upsets.
Is Ray used to children? Yes.Is Ray used to cats? No.
Is Ray toilet-trained? Yes.

Ray lives in Featherston, .
A bit about Ray’s personality:
Ray is a very social dog and wants to play with everyone. She would be ok with older children but is a bit too rambunctious to be safe around younger children or anyone she could topple over. She also wants to play with stock animals, something to be aware of. She communicates very well and is very protective of members of her household and would do well with a new owner who gives her plenty of exercise and challenges. She can get overexcited but responds very well to being talked to calmly and to praise.
