A bit about Rosa Barks’s personality:

Rosa is a wonderful, very energetic Border Collie x Labrador. She has all the traits of a working dog.

We have a small block and have had her in basic work around sheep and cattle. She was intended as a pet with prospects of agility training and some help around the farm but she just needs so much more time than we have to give her. She wouldn’t be the best inside dog unless you have time to work her mentally a few times a day.

With small kids and a business it just didn’t work for us.

She is interested in cats, we have 2. She just wants to play with them. She needs to be controlled with commands around sheep and cattle else has a tendency to want to herd them.

She is good with kids but too energetic for our 2 small kids.

Other dogs, she is good once she has a chance to work them out but on a lead she barks at them and gets defensive. She is happy once another dog puts her in her place.

She has a great, energetic and affectionate personality, but it just hasn’t meshed with our dynamic at this stage of life.
