A bit about Rose’s personality:

Very loving, Pleasant soft nature, loves pats – requires lots of attention but also does know how to chill in the sun. Very loyal obedient dog, can be left outside when you are home and she does not stray from the property (Rural) always stays close by but occasionally goes into the empty paddock and has a great time but still doesn’t leave the boundary of the property. She knows basic commands. And because she has been a farm dog she doesn’t know how to play things like catch a ball or give me paw lol. Rose loves a tummy rub and wags her tail alot. She also loves giving kisses which we discourage her from licking faces or doing too much licking as she loves giving affection just as much as she loves receiving it. Rose is a great sleeper no night time issues, always let outside for toilet before bed at night then in the morning when getting up including throughout the day. She can be slightly vocal at times but now in a loud way, in the sense that she likes ‘talking’ to you but quietly. Rose also loves going for walks and runs, another favorite thing she loves doing in the paddock is running through it you can tell when she’s in he happy place when she is leaving and bounding through the grass. Rose will also gaze into your eyes like she is lovingly staring deep into your soul connecting with you. Almost like she was human in a past life! Lol. And i think she likes to work out what you are all about. Shes great around animals and won’t harm anything, has chased a cat and a chook but won’t harm them as she is used to being around them. And even though she is supposedly a possum dog she won’t harm an animal unless you give permission. Rose will always look to you for permission including to eat her food. And when you say it’d okay she knows its ok to eat her food.

To command her to come to you requires a ‘Rose come’ most of the time as she doesn’t always come to ‘come’ on its own.

Rose is a really easygoing girl and it it with love and care and some reluctance that we make this post ehen we would prefer to keep her.

Shes only 5 years old, only suited to a rural farm out weather working or not. Not suited as a townhouse dog as that would not be her happy place. We would like her to remain where she belongs in the country side, paddocks and long grass. And super bonus if you have another dog and I believe she would greatly benefit from having a life long dog friend.

Rose wants to be friends with everyone grown up and every child AND dog she meets. Therefore a child and other friendly dog rural homes would be most ideal for her where she will never be lonely and she will receive plenty of attention love and care.

Rose also experience a new adventure and went to bunnings, she’s also not used to being around crowds of people or the beach – she will get over excited and want to check everything out and go up to every human and dog and say hello. Also, can get overstimulated in that sense as she’s so used to just being a farm dog all these other adventures are new territory for her. New sounds, New smells, more people, more everything but even with the over excitement she handles it well.

Rose is not a fan of swimming although has been taken a couple times she’s cautious about going into water. Has been swimming a couple times when shown it was ok but still cautious. Requires a very gentle approach to new experiences.

Rose is a very attractive pretty good looking dog with super cute paws. She will come with her food, collar, harness, extendable lead, her bed and her blanket to help her feel at ease in a new home. We wish to ensure to goes to the right forever family.

Rose is located in South Auckland. If you have any further questions please feel free to enquire.
