Jodie is a stunner!! Shes a loving, gentle and loyal young Huntaway who unfortunately, although she is keen to work stock, she lacks enough natural ability to become a working dog on a large farm. She has excellent manners, a very good call back on and off stock and a very good sit off of stock. She is very easy to have around and gets along well with other dogs and is used to being part of a large working team. She would be well suited to a female owner or a soft hand, could be suitable for a smaller block with time put into her.For more about Jodie contact her owner below:https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/jodi-stratford/

Born to work! These smart little pups were born to the owners main heading dog and a duck hunting GSP - loads of potential here. Full of beans but sweet, gentle and absolute characters - but they are definitely working style and dont mind rough and tumble from the bigger dogs.Find out more: https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/pups-motueka/

📌Emma is out on trial. Best Wishes Emma💓Emma is a 4yo spayed Huntaway who needs to go and run some hills and chase some sheep and cattle, because thats what she was breed to do.She is a very athletic, intelligent, eager to please and a gentle girl. Who is affectionate, loves a pat and has her own little personality.Emma also has a very strong stock and work drive, and is currently not getting the work that she used to and shes very bored. In the last 2 years with the current owners shes been an awesome sheep yard dog, that will do a whole day in the yards easily, and some. With some extra training she would easily get some distance on her.Shes the kind of dog that the more work she gets, the better she gets. However, Emma had an unpleasant start in life and is wary of strangers and does bark (good guard dog). This bark is not malicious at all and is done in self preservation. So Emma is a combination of being incredibly soft and yet has a strong stock/work drive, so needs some boundaries. She needs someone who is firm, but kind that she can bond with. She responds best to encouragement, and if you get too grumpy, she can sulk.As you can understand, Emma chooses the people she interacts with, so the new owner would need to come meet her and see what Emma thinks of you.She seems to respond best with females, so if one of you female farmers/shepherds out there are interested and can offer Emma a great working home, then you might just get an awesome huntaway!A trial period would be essential, to male sure the new owner and Emma are both happy.Contact her owner via the link below:https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/emma-dannevirke/
