She doesn’t need a perfect home — just a kind one.
Skye is a 9-year-old Huntaway with the gentlest soul and the softest heart. She’s a sensitive, serious girl who can be a little worrier, and she’s dreaming of a quiet home where she can finally feel safe. Once she bonds with you, her loyalty is beautiful — she’s happiest simply being near her person, sharing calm, everyday moments.
She’s still mobile, in good health, respectful of fencing, and easy to have around. She’s been good with other dogs, though busy or loud ones can overwhelm her — a calm, confident companion would suit her best. Her favourite place? Curled up in her bed on the deck, just watching the world go by.
Skye does have significant urinary incontinence that can’t be treated with medication. She’ll need an understanding owner who’s okay with daily sponge baths (she’s very patient), extra bedding washing, and a sleeping space where accidents aren’t an issue.
It’s a big ask — we know. But Skye still has so much love, companionship, and quiet devotion to give. Somewhere out there is someone with the heart to see past the inconvenience and see her.
Her person is out there. Maybe it’s you.
Skye has been vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated, and is currently registered.
He has an adoption fee of $350 and, as with all of our foster dogs, we’ll require a vet reference and property inspection prior to adoption.
