About Snoop:
Snoop is a large, male beardie collie cross, aged 1-year-old.
Description:Hi, I’m Snoop. I’m a neutered and extremely lovely 1-year-old beardie collie cross, living on a 60-acre farm with my family, in New Plymouth.
I’m a very smart boy – with a big personality – showing talent and potential.
I’ll run across the sheep, like a true sheep dog does!
I’ll gladly help you round them up too. I just have NO idea what I’m doing… yet.
But the passion and desire to help is strong in me.
I’ve been with my family since I was a wee pup.
The plan was I’d work with dad and help run the farm.
When he brought me on, he was declared cancer free but, sadly, just when our training was getting started, he relapsed and has been in treatment since.
My family is heartbroken. They feel sad for ME too. I was looking forward to an exciting life, by dad’s side, helping him take care of things.
My humans care about me so very much. They’d LOVE to keep me as a PET but feel I’m destined for bigger things.
You see, I’m a very energetic boy, in my prime, that loves keeping my mind and body busy.
They’re hoping to find me a new home, with a fulfilling career – where I’ll also be as loved as I am now.
I’m a guy with plenty of GO in me. I LOVE running alongside the quad bike.
I’m very fast. Going airborne is FUN!
And I adore the water. I’ll even take myself for a swim when it’s freezing out – amazing the family with my passion for it!
Sadly, my family don’t think I’d be suited to a town home. I’m full of energy and I can jump fences and cattle yards you know.
I can also dig holes when bored – another reason it’s best I find a home where I have plenty to keep my mind occupied.
I’d be best with dog savvy kids only. I’m a boisterous guy, at times, and wouldn’t want to knock little ones over.
I’m a lovable lad. When one of my humans is sitting down, I’ll put my foot on their leg and look up at them sweetly.
I’ll nudge their hands too. That’s me saying, I’d like a pat now please.
Or I may just cut to the chase and jump up on the couch to be beside them.
When new people visit, I love them all! I’m really a social butterfly with humans.
I get along well with the other dogs I’ve met too.
I’m somewhat of a natural leader though. If they’re not playing with me, they SHOULD be… that’s my thoughts.
Therefore, I’d be happiest living with a cruisy canine or two.
I haven’t met chickens yet, but I have never chased ducks and I’ve met plenty.
I’d be fine sharing my home with a cat and I’m also used to pigs, sheep and beefies.
My family is really invested in making sure I only go to the BEST of homes.
They’re happy to trial me too, to make sure you and I are the right fit.
I’m microchipped and up to date with my vaccinations. I will come with my kennel and run, chain, lead and even my toys.
My family and I will be sad to say goodbye, but they really do want me to be happy and reach my full potential in life.
So, if you think I’m the ideal guy for you, please send an email introducing yourself and describe what type of home you could offer me.
