About Spark:
Spark is a medium-sized, female Heading Dog, aged 4 years old.
Description:Spark is an unneutered Female heading dog who needs someone to spend time carrying on her training currently she’s not to bad when running with an experienced dog.
She has a shaky left right and a stay, is keen to work but sometimes gets in the way. She can be a bit of dominant with other dogs but that would stop when she knows her pack position.
Spark hasn’t seen many kids, we don’t have a cat, she’s not an inside dog and you can call her off stock quite easily.
She will fetch a ball but she’s not consistent and will drop it anywhere, What she loves is to run and run and run.
I have done some basic agility with her, she will go over jumps and through a tunnel but ideally needs to be kept busy. Spark is not a town dog! She needs to be working physically and mentally.
She can be a bit stand offish but if you spend the time she will be loyal to you. Spark is pretty good at rounding up our 30 odd ducks and she can be good with a bit of a nip to stubborn sheep or cattle with proper training
Is Spark used to cats? No.
Is Spark toilet-trained? No.
Is Spark used to stock? Yes.
Is Spark used to chickens? No.
How well does Spark get on with other dogs? Not friendly.
Spark lives in wairoa/gisborne, .
A bit about Spark’s personality:
I’ve put not friendly for other dogs because Spark is ok with my pack but if a strange dog comes on the property she can be defensive. others she gets on with.
I don’t know about chickens but she’s good with ducks. Spark will be your friend for life if you treat her right.
Spark had a litter of 8 pups a couple of years ago who have all gone on to work. she will also ride on a quad but prefers to run and run beside with a “get in” command. please contact me if you need more info. Spark will go to an approved home only
