About Sprite:
Sprite is a medium-sized, female Hunting – Pig Dog, aged 10 years old.
Description:Hi, I’m Sprite and I’m 10. I live in a big farm station.
Life as a hunting dog’s been fun!
When we head out, first thing I do is find a hedgehog to take on the journey.
I carry it softly in my mouth while I hunt, then I let it go.
I love my tucker, running, riding on the quad bike and swimming too! They say it’s good for my joints.
I’m looking for a quieter pace of life now – a loving home with some space, on my own or with a cruisy older doggy for company.
I get along well with my huge pack. I’m a natural leader and respected in my group.
When I was younger, I was a mum, so I’ll always have a soft spot for pups!
Cats are another story! We don’t see eye to eye. I could maybe be trained to coexist with an adult but I’d be best in a cat-free home.
I love people though – especially kids! I’m happy to take all pats on offer.
My owners say I’m pretty special – an affectionate wee girl.
When I want their attention, I’ll jump up and stick my feet on them. Then, if they sit down, I’ll lick their face.
I’m not a noisy girl. If people come to the house, I’ll bark to alert my owners but they’ve taught me “be quiet”.
I’m fine around stock but haven’t met chickens yet.
My owners say, before I move to my new home, they’re happy to take me to the vet for a general health checkup.
So if you’re looking to welcome a happy hedgehog-loving hound into your family, I’m your girl!
