Much loved Creed is a solidly built 45kg huntaway, roughly 10 years old. For his owner of the last 3 and a half years, he has been a very loyal and hardworking dog. As much as Creed would love to be mustering everyday still, his body just cant keep up these days. In the last 6 months Creed has been enjoying the slower pace of life, helping in the yards, doing small shifts but mostly sleeping in the shade under his favourite tree on the lawn.He is the most gentle soul and just loves being part of the family. He is kenneled overnight and during the day is left loose at the house where he happily stays. His owner would like him to go to a home where he can enjoy the same lifestyle, to a lifestyle block or small farm where he can live out his days lounging in the sun and enjoying the peace and quiet rural life has to offer. Green is just over a year old. He has done a little bit of stock work but just not confident yet. He needs another dog to work with him. He’s a kelpie x Huntaway. A very friendly boy. Introducing Bob, a 3 year old heading dog, Im the one standing.Hes a very energetic and loves to please you! Has a lovely nature but is quite full on.He’s good with other dogs etc, I’ve had him on both sheep and beef. Goes better with cattle but just isn’t cutting it on the farm. Meet Finn, Finn is the biggest sweetheart and has worked hard his whole life. He’s a big softie and is always the first for a pat. Loves his food but is on very minimal as he lives off the smell of an oily rag. Finn still has plenty of life left to live and would thrive on a finishing block where he would be able to chase sheep and cattle a few times a week. Want to know more about Finn? Sweety Hazy is a 1 year old Catahoula X hunting dog who is being rehomed as unfortunately, she has shown little interest in hunting. While she isn’t suited for work in the field, she has a calm, pleasant nature that makes her easy to have around.She is gentle & loving, has a very soft nature and gets on well with children and adults making her a great family companion. She is friendly with other dogs, good with the neighbours cats and does not show any interest in other animals. This is Spy, a 3 year old Border Collie X. Spy is a true working dog. Needs a job to do, loyal, always watching what youre doing. Due to a change in circumstances with a job working six months of the year overseas, his owner is looking for a more stable home for Spy. He would suit life with another female dog with lots of energy. Currently living in urban Nelson, Spy does well, tramping and trail runs and kept active, so hes always stimulated. He walks 95% of the time lead free in the hills and trails around Nelson, and he always stays close. Would be good if his new home was an active household. Spy is curious and keen to learn new things. Loui is ready for retirement after 7 years at work! Loui is a very special boy, he’s super intelligent, affectionate and full of personality. He’s a very easy dog to have around - well mannered, obedient and gets on with other dogs. He’s also great with kids and absolutely loves people, he will befriend anyone (he loves to shake paws and cuddle). Although Loui is 7 he still acts like a young gun and is very lively and loves to play!Loui is very special to his owner as he was her first dog & main man, would love to keep him but he deserves a retirement full of love, attention, and mental stimulation which she unfortunately doesnt have the time to give him currently. Meet lovely Poppy, a 5 year old Huntaway X .Poppy started life as a pet before coming to her current owner for training and now has a full set of commands. Sadly she is starting to develop some stiffness in her hips and is no longer suited to the hill country life. Ideally she would now suit a larger lifestyle block or dairy farm where there is still stock work for her. She has had a vet check and aside from her hip issue is in perfect health. Polar is a 5 year old heading dog x kelpie.He is a very special boy but doesn’t fit in with all the working and hunting dogs. He’s failed at hunting; he gets lost every time, think he liked to hunt fairies not pigs. He’s had a go at working cattle and sheep; he doesn’t get in the way but is not very keen at working either, he does like to eye them though but will leave them alone if you tell him. He’s very fit and healthy, will eat any food and is tidy and quiet in his kennel, he’s a registered blood donor at the vets. The only thing he needs health wise is sun protection for his eyes and ears in summer. He would really love an active family with an older kid to take him on adventures such as fishing, mountain biking, rabbiting, visiting open spaces or hiking. He is a chill dog with such a nice nature and just wants the pet life. Got the right spot for Polar?
