Meet beautiful Star who is an 11 month old Heading pup who is unfortunately not going to work out as a working dog. She has a lovely nature, very loyal, and gets along with other dogs really well and would make a lovely pet for an active family, lifestyle block would be ideal. She has call back and sit. Good on and off a lead. She is stock proof as she will just sit at your feet in a paddock of sheep or cattle. Doesnt wander, as will let her out for an hour each day round the house with the other dogs and she wont leave the house section.Contact her owners via the link below for more info:https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/star-te-anau-2/

He shows a little bit of interest in stock but not much so will be best suited to a pet home. Dear Facebook friends, please read this post and share it far and wide. Lucy has been in foster for 407 days. Its too long for such a loving dog to be without a family. 8 year old Lucy is as sweet as they come and absolutely loves people and other dogs. We want to be upfront about her needs so we find her the perfect home:🪜Must have a secure deer or iron-fenced yard — no wooden railings! Lucy can climb a 6ft wooden fence, so a solid fence is a must to keep her safe.🏡A strong kennel and secure run are needed for times when she’s left alone.Who Lucy would love to live with:👉She needs a home with a dog-savvy owner who understands she’ll chase small running animals — so she must be leashed or supervised carefully around rabbits, cats, or other small pets. She has walked past a cat in the lounge but lets be honest, she may not have seen it!👉Someone to take her on long runs and adventures - she’s hung up her hunting boots but is still full of energy and ready to be be a hiking buddy.Shes toilet trained indoors and good in her crate. She walks well on a slip lead and is excellent on pack walks. She plays beautifully with other dogs but if another dog starts trouble, Lucy will stand her ground. She would thrive in a home with a canine companion who can keep up with her energetic playstyle. Shes respectful of grumpy older dogs and will leave them alone if theyre not interested in playing. She has been good around stock she has been by. Lucy’s current foster can keep her until December but wants to ensure Lucy goes to a home that suits her adventurous spirit and safety needs. The ideal home for Lucy would be a townhouse with a secure high fenced section. If you have a secure home and a big heart for this lively, loving girl, please get in touch. Lucy’s ready to give endless love — if only she had a safe place to call home. Help us find her home!Adoption fee: $350 (includes spay, vaccination, microchip, flea/worm treatment, and registration). Vet reference and property inspection required.🥰For more pics or to apply for Lucy to join YOUR family click the link: https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/rwdnz-foster-dog-lucy-palmerston-north/

•••RWDNZ FOSTER DOG•••Rosie, a 5-year-old huntaway cross, is a sweet and affectionate girl who loves cuddles and attention. Shes well-behaved, crate-trained, and walks beautifully on a lead. Rosie adores other dogs and kids, loves to play and socialise, and can live with cats (though shes a bit scared). Due to past trauma, shes wary of males, so a female-only home or someone willing to work with her is preferred. With patience and love, Rosie will thrive as a loyal companion. Shes a lovely, easy-going girl who just needs a chance to shine.Find out more:https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/rosie-feilding-rwdnz-foster-dog/Apply here:https://form.jotform.com/adoptionsrwd/ADOPTIONAPP

Gorgeous Gus is looking for a cruisy retirement home. He has been a working dog all his life and his owners have tried to retire him on the farm with a little bit of yard work to keep him happy, but he’s finding it hard to relax when all the other dogs are out working every day. The ideal home for Gus would be a small lifestyle block where he can help to move a small mob of sheep/cattle from one paddock to another. Gus is a very gentle kind old soul. He always comes up to rest his head on the table for a pat (loves a good ear scratch) and follows you everywhere. 📌Django has a new home💓Django is a loveable, gentle giant. A 1 year old, entire male, longer coated Huntaway. He’s eager to please and incredibly loyal but too soft for work purposes. He would thrive in a rural home/ lifestyle block as a companion or family pet. He gets along well with other dogs and has great recall/ sit command. He is still very puppy like in his personality and a bit of a goofball, who can’t but make you smile. He has lived outdoors his whole life, so is not toilet trained. He has a whole lot of love to give and would make someone’s life a bit more complete.Contact his owner via the link below:https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/django-kurow/
