About Tui:
Tui is a medium-sized, female Bearded Collie X, aged 1 years old.
Description:Tui is a Beardie Huntaway x. We have had Tui since she was 8 weeks old, she is pretty well trained for a town dog. We live in Whanganui but have recently sold our house and are moving in the middle of January. We will be moving temporarily to a house that is not fenced.
Tui is an amazing pet, she is great with my kids (aged 13 and 15). She is an outside dog – she has slept in a kennel since about 14 weeks of age. She has tonnes of energy so has a big walk at least once a day.
She could probably be trained a lot better – some inconsistencies with the kids playing with her, etc, but on the whole she is a lovely dog who picks up training very quickly. She interacts really well with other dogs at the beach/river etc, is completely submissive to begin with then gets confidence.
She hasn’t been around stock at all but shows all the hallmarks of her breed, and I am sure she would be awesome on a little farm/lifestyle block.
Is Tui used to cats? Don’t know.
Is Tui toilet-trained? Yes.
Is Tui used to stock? Don’t know.
Is Tui used to chickens? No.
How well does Tui get on with other dogs? Great.
Tui lives in Whanganui, North Island.
A bit about Tui’s personality:
Tui is quite excitable around lots of people but is a lovely loyal companion for me and my kids.
