About Kib:
Kib is a medium-sized, female Heading Dog, aged 3 years old.
Description:Hi, I’m Kib. I’m a 3-year-old heading dog.
For the past couple of years, I’ve lived on my farm, in Pongaroa.
First thing on my day’s to-do list, RUN!
I’ll ZOOM round the place, so I can say hi to all my seven doggy friends.
I’m a sociable and outgoing wee girl that actively embraces life!
I’m not a shy dog but I’m very soft-natured. I tend to get a little overwhelmed at times and can lose my confidence.
And I’m scared of cattle too!
My farmer sat me down the other day for a chat.
She’s says because she’s recently given up shepherding, there’s not a lot of work for me.
Plus, she thinks I’d be HAPPIER being adored as a PET.
Ok, so she told me about this PET thing.
Cushy beds, lazing round in the sun, playing with friends AND treats?
I’m THERE!
My farmer thinks I’d enjoy a quieter pace of life with lots of one-on-one time with humans.
A place where I can relax and not feel the pressure to be a fulltime working girl.
Oh, I’d also LOVE another young doggy pal to play with!
I’ll share anything with a friend, EXCEPT my own food. I tend to prefer keeping THAT to myself!
I try my best at everything I do and I have excellent recall.
I’m a good guard dog too – with great hearing! When our farm gates open, I always alert my owner that someone’s coming in.
My farmer really has a soft spot for me. She says she’ll be sad to say goodbye.
She says I make her laugh every single day!
I’m great with people – kids too! She thinks I’m adaptable and I’ll settle well into new surroundings.
So, if you’re looking for a gentle-natured sensitive soul to ZOOM through your days with, I could be your girl.
