About Puma:
Puma is a large, female Huntaway, aged 3 years old.
Description:With a heavy heart, we’re looking for a very special home for our beautiful Huntaway girl, Puma. We believe she was born in 2023 and she deserves more time, attention, love, and a job to do than we can currently give her. 💔
Puma has an old injury to her back left leg that occurred before we got her. Unfortunately, it wasn’t treated at the time, and the leg healed shorter than the others. We had two sets of X-rays done and explored whether amputation would be necessary, but she manages amazingly well. She has a limp, but it doesn’t slow her down one bit. She still runs, jumps into the ute, and enjoys life like any other dog. We just keep her on the leaner side to avoid putting extra pressure on it.
Puma would thrive on a farm, lifestyle block, or with an active family where she can have a purpose and be included in everyday life. She is a much-loved dog, and this decision has not been made lightly. Finding the right home is far more important to us than finding one quickly. She is desexed and microchipped, had all her shots, flea and worm Upto date.
Is Puma used to cats? Yes.
Is Puma toilet-trained? Yes.
Is Puma used to stock? Yes.
Is Puma used to chickens? Yes.
How well does Puma get on with other dogs? OK.
Puma lives in Rotorua, .
A bit about Puma’s personality:
Puma is the ultimate love bug. Wants to be attached to you and in your lap. She’s super sweet and adores our three year old. She loves chasing birds around the lawn. Never goes far from us or the house.
