However he would not give up the opportunity to help shift some cattle. She was supposed to be a farm working dog but she never really got into it so she became a pet. But her owners have moved to town and Sam is really missing the farm life. Look at sweet Tess. At 10 years old and after doing a bit of Run/Paddock work she would prefer a smaller property or to retire. She came from a farm as a very young pup and has been raised as a town house dog. Her owner feels she has all the skills needed and would probably just need training to be a working dog. Her speed, agility and focus has been noticed ever since she was a pup. Jill is a beautiful Huntaway/Bearded Collie X, 7 years old , who came from a sheep station almost 4 years ago where she was a working dog. After having a litter of pups, when they brought her back to work, the shepherd felt she cut into the herd too quickly, so she was deemed a farm fail and rehomed. Jill adapted to domestic life easily. She is happy to lie in front of the fire in the winter, and outside in the sun when itโ€™s warm, and is always ready to go for a walk. Jill does get excited with company with the Huntaway greeting but settles down and loves to be with people. She is a dear girl who loves to stay close, lots of attention, and getting brushed.Sadly, changes in her owners family circumstances require that Jill be rehomed so she can get the love and attention she deserves.Have you got a place for Jill? Beautiful Paddington is as sharp as a tack and eager to be a โ€œGood Dog.โ€ He is Joy, Enthusiasm and Happiness in a dogโ€™s body. At just over a year old, he takes his current rabbit control job very seriously and is already showing signs that he could be incredible at working sheep (with training โ€“ which his owners lack experience in). Paddington should not be a full-time working dog however, due to three additional vertebrae in his spine which means that he is on long-term pain killers, but he would be perfect for working stock on a smaller lifestyle block, an obedience dog or possibly even search and rescue.For more info and to contact his owners click on the link below:https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/paddington-amberley/

Spark has been with his owner from the start but itโ€™s time to let him go as he doesnโ€™t want to stay on the back porch, he still wants to be mustering day in and out but he's no longer able. Sadly he has arthritis in one of his front legs so he would suit a lifestyle block where he could get the sheep in occasionally. Or just as a porch dog. He's a very dear gentle old soul, easy to have around.
