May is a 7-year-old Huntaway who would love nothing more than to be a pet dog, She is very affectionate, loves children, is fine with chooks and not really interested in farm work. She’s in great health and is just a chill, happy go lucky dog with lots of love to share.Contact her owners below:https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/may-cheviot/

Jaydee is a friendly, beautiful natured girl who is looking for a small flat lifestyle block to call her new home as the steep hills are a bit hard on her back legs these days being 11 years old and having an old cruciate ligament injury. She is however, still happy and healthy. She would still love to have a job to do by helping out to move a few cattle or sheep in between just being your new best friend. She is great with people, other animals and children.Contact her owners below:https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/jaydee-seddon/

May is a sweet friendly dog, she enjoys life whatever she is doing. She is 11 years old now and has been working on farms all her life and enjoys her job. Still has mustering and yard work left in her but best on a smaller block now due to her age. She is very easy to have around, still jumps up on the bike but needs a bit of help to get on the ute. Her owner would love her to go to a farm where she can still be useful or as a companion dog.Contact via the link below:https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/may-middlemarch/

Yellow is a sweet young Huntaway X, 1 year old. Shes a happy little dog but would rather hang out in the yard with the two retired dogs than coming to work. She is interested in stock but if she thinks she’s right she would rather run home than being told what to do, which is cute and funny but not really appropriate when trying to work. One of the older dogs pushed her off the buggy, so since then she’s not a fan of the buggy and won’t go anywhere near it. Yellow loves walking with her mum and dad in the evenings. Good on the lead,Contact her owners below:https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/yellow-ashhurst/

Brute is a super friendly retired huntaway looking for a home with a slower pace of life. He is still able for his age of 10 and has only been very lightly worked for the past ~5 years, he would suit a lifestyle block perfectly. His commands are a simple left and right and he is sensible in the yards. That said, he is 10 so is not suitable for every day work. He is a large dog and has a strong deep bark on him.His owner has unfortunately moved to a retirement home himself and his current minders dont have space to continue to keep him.Contact them below:https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/brute-waipawa/

📌Milo has a new loving home💓Milo, 4 year old Kelpie, is a real character and always on the go. He has been a great companion and hunting dog but it’s with a heavy heart that his owner is rehoming him due to relocating overseas. Milo is great with kids although very playful and can be a bit rough. He’s got loads of energy so definitely suited to a lifestyle block as he can be a bit of a barker too. He’s good with cattle, sheep, goats and chickens but unsure about cats.He loves cuddles and trips to the beach or swimming holes. Milo loves being curled up on the couch by the fire or in the sun on the deck.Contact his owner below:https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/milo-dargaville/

Snoop is a happy male heading dog, 1 year old, who loves running fast and playing with the pack and the family, but has not made it as a working dog and is not getting the exercise he needs. Snoop is lovely, lively, friendly dog but can have quiet moments for cuddles too with kids and grown ups. He has a confident return to whistle and name, and a sit command, but has failed to learn further commands so may be better suited to life with a active family.Contact his owners via the link below:https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/snoop-waipawa/

OMG, those stunning ears!! And Shae has character to boot! A 2 year old Heading dog who has had to retire early. Still happy to run and work sheep but may have limits on rugged steep terrain. Shae is an absolute delight and it is with a very heavy heart his owners have to look at rehoming him. He is quirky, sweet and has energy to burn so an active home would be ideal. Very obedient and well mannered boy, who has done some basic work with sheep but still unsure of cattle. He has a story which Ihis owner is happy to share with anyone who may be keen on taking on our special boy.Contact his owner below:https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/shae-whangarei/

📌Seal has found a home💓Seal is a 3 year old Beardie Huntaway. Shes a real sweetie but anxious, not cut out for farm work on a large sheep and beef farm. She wants to help in yards where she works well but requires a very soft hand . Unfortunately shes not reliable enough for farm work as she is very skitterish but is great around kids and nice natured.Seal would suit a small farm or lifestyle block. Please give this lovely girl a forever home! Cruze is a gorgeous 7 year old tricoloured Huntaway X looking for a new forever home with an active loving family. He loves to be around people. Cruze has been a pet for some time as although he was born of working parents he himself failed. He loves to fetch a ball or stick and is still very active and excitable which makes his current situation, living with his owners elderly parents, somewhat untenable. Contact his owner below if you have a spot which would make this boy happy.https://retiredworkingdogs.org.nz/dogs-for-adoption/cruze-dannevirke-2/
