About Luck:

Luck is a large, female Huntaway, aged 6 years old.

Description:

Hi, I’m Luck. I’m a 6-year-old female huntaway.

I live on a farm in Waipawa.

I’m one of a big team of working dogs. We all get along GREAT!

There’s only ONE thing we don’t have in common. They like working stock and I think it’s BORING!

Sadly, that means when the team heads to work, I stay behind.

This makes my farmer sad. He works long hours and knows I love to be a part of things.

He tries his best too. He sets special time aside for us to take walks together each day.

He feels though, since I love being round people so much, I deserve more quality time with humans.

So, he’s hoping to find me a loving new home, where I can run, play and be adored for the sweet girl I am.

My farmer says I’m a very affectionate girl – a lovely wee dog that will make a brilliant pet.

You see, I love hugging… I’m talking proper HUGS!

I’ll literally jump up and wrap my paws around you and cross them over!

I haven’t met kids as yet, but, being a jumpy hugger, I’m probably not best around the little ones. I might knock them over!

On that note, I haven’t met cats yet either.

As much as I’m a people-loving girl, I can get a little shy and overwhelmed at times, in crowds.

Did I mention though, that I come out of my shell when the motorbike’s around?

I LOVE running alongside my farmer when he’s on his bike.

I could chase him round all day!

Even if I hear the bike, from MILES away, I’m THERE – ready to join the fun!

My farmer thinks I’d be fine in a home with or without dog company. I do love dogs to bits though!

He says I should be fine in a fully fenced town home too.

He’d really love me to be someone’s fishing buddy, so I could spend time running along the beach or river!

I’m not a picky eater either. My farmer says I eat my dog biscuits “like a vacuum cleaner.”

Oh, and I must let you know that I’m not spayed.

So, if you’re looking for a joyful loyal friend – and you adore cuddling as much as I do – I could be the girl of your dreams!
