About Nala:

Nala is a medium-sized, female GSP x Ridgeback, aged 4 years old.

Description:

Nala was bred for hunting and most of her siblings ending up in working homes. However we got Nala as a pet. Unfortunately she is bored and has started escaping the property. Although not trained to point/indicate game she has shown interest and with the right training could easily learn. She has a good nose and can fetch.

Update: It is with a heavy heart that we are looking for a new home for our beautiful girl, Nala.
Nala is a 4-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback (Kalamara) x German Shorthaired Pointer (Broadbent lines) who is fantastic with children and has a loving, affectionate nature. She is healthy, energetic, and thrives on attention and activity.
Unfortunately, out family do not have time to give Nala what she needs and, with both of us working full-time, we can no longer provide Nala with the exercise, stimulation, and space she needs to live her best life. She has become bored at home and has recently started escaping the property in search of adventure.
Nala would be best suited to:
– An active family or individual
–  A lifestyle block or property with a secure, larger yard
– Someone who enjoys hiking, running, hunting, or outdoor adventures
– A home where she won’t be left alone for long periods
She has completed kiwi aversion training and responds well, although she still enjoys chasing ducks and other birds. With the right owner, we believe she could make an excellent duck dog, hunting companion, or adventure buddy.
Nala is loyal, intelligent, and eager to be involved in whatever her people are doing. She deserves a home where her energy and enthusiasm can be put to good use.
