About Ruff & Pete:
Ruff is a large male Beardie 6 years old, Pete is a heading dog, aged 7 or 8 years old.Description:
These 2 very sweet farm dogs need a new home. Posting on behalf of owners who are moving to Australia. They are used to some light farm work with cows but are more outside pets these days.
We’d love for them to find a home together if possible since they have been together most of their lives, or if they were to be split up they would probably need to go to a home that has other dogs they can bond with.
Is Ruff & Pete used to cats? Don’t know.
Is Ruff & Pete toilet-trained? Yes.
Is Ruff & Pete used to stock? Yes.
Is Ruff & Pete used to chickens? Yes.
How well does Ruff & Pete get on with other dogs? OK.
Ruff & Pete lives in Gisborne, North Island.
A bit about Ruff & Pete’s personality:
Ruff is boisterous 6 year old pedigree beardie, his father was a pure beardie with long moppy hair. His mother was also well bred and was called tan huntaway. Pete is a 7-8 year old plain eye heading dog. He can be a little apprehensive at first but he’s a big people pleaser at heart. Both boys are super sweet and playful with a lot of life left in them. Great farm companions if you still need a bit of work done. They haven’t really been around children but are very used to people. Might be ok with some cats, have been known to chase rabbits and other small animals they come across but they’re good with chickens.
